You can capture a whole web page in about two minutes. Install Full Page & Scrolling Screenshot, pin the icon, press Capture, and save the file.
1. Install and pin
Add the extension from the Chrome Web Store. Chrome hides new icons inside the puzzle menu. Click that menu, then the pin next to this extension, so the icon stays on the toolbar. The welcome tab shows the same two steps with pictures.
2. Capture the open tab
- Open a normal website. Stay on that tab until the progress bar finishes.
- Click the icon. Under What to capture, leave Full page selected, or pick Visible area or Select area.
- Press Capture. The status line moves from “Getting the page ready…” to “Capturing tile N of M…” and then “Putting it all together…”.
Prefer the keyboard? Alt+Shift+S captures the current tab with the last settings, without opening the popup. Change the keys from the Change link in the popup, which opens Chrome’s shortcut page.
3. Save, copy, or preview
After capture defaults to Download. Switch it to Copy when you want the image on the clipboard, or Preview when you want the built-in viewer. Format defaults to PNG. JPG and WebP add a quality slider. PDF adds a paper size: A4, Letter, or Fit page.
The file name starts as date, time, site, and page title, so today’s captures sort together in Downloads. Details live in screenshot file names.
If the first try fails
Chrome blocks captures on its own pages and on the Chrome Web Store. Reload a tab that was already open before you installed. Both cases are covered in troubleshooting.
